Late in May of this year, the Internet connectivity here was interrupted. Late in June, instead, it seems that human wave tactics were used to hinder what is inconvenient for some people.
According to my experience, it isn't difficult to see who they are. They are the so-called Asian old guards. They have cheated some kinds of Europeans and Americans using their usual measures in order to gain the benefits previously. Recently, they are trying to conceal the fraudulent characteristics of their past acts, and if possible they are trying to actualize the fabricated stories by various means.

In the world of West European and North American politics, both the uses in public of violent and abusive languages like racketeer and those of inappropriate and unripe behaviors while being drowned in emotion, whether it's a political means or not, are held in contempt in general. In the world of backward countries' politics, both are equally unsatisfactory but are still the standard measures, unfortunately. It will take the backward nations a long time to catch up with the advanced nations in terms of many aspects including this. While the backward nations are improving, there is hope.

My opinion on the future of domestic transportation isn't extravagant. The following explains my opinion on this matter briefly.
A private individual may own the electric cars that are strictly regulated to run only on the non-expressways if one wants to own them. An electric car owned by a private individual will be used mostly inside a city for the purpose of shopping and commuting and sometimes beyond the city limit. A freight company should use a small electric truck towing a small container for the purpose of transportation of goods within the city limit. By taking a pragmatic approach to an electric car, its short driving range isn't a definitive weakness.
When a private individual needs to use the expressways for travel beyond the city limit, the prefecture limit, or the state limit, one may go to a nearby bus station along an expressway and may part one's electric car at a parking lot there in order to take an express bus, the driving system of which is hydrogen-fueled. For the purpose of long-haul transportation, a freight company will need to collect the containers filling goods from a city at its transfer point along an expressway and use a large truck that is capable of towing several containers altogether. All the large vehicles such as express buses and freight trucks will be powered by the hydrogen fuel cell and will be allowed to run only on the expressways. No car owned by a private individual will be allowed to run on the expressways. It goes without saying that travelers and freight companies may choose other means of transportation such as trains and airplanes for their purposes, in accordance with their liking.
On the expressways, only the professional drivers will sit behind the wheel. The number of filling stations and the cost to build these expensive filling stations can be minimized because only the hydrogen-fueled buses and trucks use these stations for the filling of hydrogen fuel. The hydrogen filling stations may be located only in suburban and rural areas so that potential damage in residential areas due to an accidental explosion can be avoided. On the other hand, general drivers will be permitted to drive their lighter electric cars only on municipal roads on which driving at high speed shouldn't be appropriate. Although a light frame well fits an electric vehicle in general because of its requirement to gain a longer driving range, the exclusion of express buses, freight trucks, and other very large and heavy vehicles from the municipal roads should improve traffic safety. It also should help alleviate traffic congestion, especially during the holiday season. And finally, the above-mentioned is about the forecast for the future when any fossil fuel isn't used for the purposes of transportation anymore.

Driving under the influence with not only alcohol but also some sort of prescription medicine and as a matter of course every illegal drug should be more strictly controlled. This is the problem people of today are facing.

It's difficult to find some effective new ideas to alleviate traffic congestion in capitalistic societies during commuting times on weekdays. The dispersion of population and industries away from the urban districts, the introduction of a flextime system, the facilitation of working at home in case there's no risk of leaking secrets and of learning at home, the encouragement to use the commuters, the expansion of the detours, etc. have already been carried out to some extent. In some areas, these conventional ideas have successfully alleviated traffic jams, but in other areas, these ideas have made only a minimal impact. The cities where chronic traffic jams trouble drivers have to make further efforts without going to extremes.

I have had my dislikes for expressions like "Don't make excuses" for a long before. Because of the confusion of tongue, probably between excuse and evasion, and/or of its natural disposition lasting since the era of feudalism, some sorts of Japanese often use such expressions in their conversation. The expressions including the above-stated expression they are saying, I would think that they are saying, "Don't question the announced news and the established theories" and "Just memorize these things convenient for them." The problem that Japanese organizations can't change without pressure from other countries is rooted in many causes including a strong tendency toward the easygoing imposition.
The ability to justify what you've done is surely valuable. Although some consider that evasive behavior is rather unseemly, the skills to wiggle out of responsibility may be useful for some professions such as a lawyer, a diplomat, and so on. What is necessary for a grown-up person when one really doesn't like to hear others talking their way out of the issue and responsibility is not to deny making excuses simply but to develop elegant debating skills that don't allow others to evade.

The thoroughgoing advancement of factory automation, office automation, and others should help alleviate traffic congestion during commuting times on weekdays. Even supposing that full automation can be realized in the future, it will take quite a long time to extend automation to every corner of a nation and finally of the world. In capitalistic societies, full automation should cause some problems, and appropriately partial automation should be sensible. However, it's doubtful that only the resolution of traffic congestion during commuting times is enough to motivate people to choose the shift to the socialist system.
There are found some ideas other than the above stated to alleviate traffic congestion but these ideas can be feasible only in more socialistic societies. The right-of-center stance is my favorite, at least for now and in the near future.

It's strange that there have been a lot of news reports about the awful cases in Japan, particularly in the prefectures of Okayama, Hokkaidô, etc, these days. It seems that nowadays these prefectures are much more insecure than they used to be two decades ago and earlier.

The real aim of a chain of recent events concerning gardening may be the support for the participation of women in public and business affairs as executives. All the flowers except some small roses were cut off here recently. Somebody may be suggesting that career women have to refrain from wearing clothes with a floral pattern on duty. It seems to me that one's business attire should depend upon the type of occupation.

The safety review of the Sendai nuclear power plants in Kagoshima prefecture has been passed. According to the news programs yesterday, this isn't the final one. The Kyushu Electric Power Company is scheduled to restart these reactors someday this autumn if the final review is passed and then the agreement is obtained. The increase in the safety facilities and devices this time includes vehicles equipped with electric generators.

My diary today describes some of my opinions on the improvement in traffic safety in Japan. Someone who had driving experience for years in both the US and Japan should know some distinct differences in traffic conditions between these two countries. One of the distinct differences in traffic conditions between these countries is the thoroughness of policing of traffic roads. A much larger number of police officers are daily involved in the enforcement of traffic rules and punish reckless drivers with a fine for a violation of traffic regulations such as parking, speeding, neglect of traffic signals, the Driving Under the Influences (DUI), etc. on the US's roads than on Japan's roads.
In order to control DUIs with alcohol, prescription medicine, and illegal drugs more strictly in Japan, a great increase in police patrol may be necessary. In this case, a larger amount of the fines for traffic violations has to be collected to offset the increase in its cost without relying on the tax uses. This idea may sound like a nightmare for the Japanese general drivers. However, it seems that this is only a feasible way to reduce the number of DUIs effectively in Japan, without introducing any drastic way. Strict control of DUIs should help the police force protect the citizenry on the roads from suffering due to traffic accidents by the addicts hooked on some kinds of the prevailing suspicious drugs.

A breath test is one of the most conventional methods to measure how much alcohol a driver has drunk because of its simplicity. This test has been considered to be accurate enough for this purpose. The other simplified test is a saliva test. However, it's uncertain if a breath test or a saliva test is good enough to check whether a driver drove a car under the influence of other illegal drugs or not. Although both a urine test and a blood test should be more accurate than these above-mentioned tests, both tests are usually unfit to carry out on the roadside. Whether a hair examination is appropriate for this purpose or not is beyond the scope of my varied knowledge because it's outside my field.

The rainy season has officially ended. Today's maximum temperature here is 30.0 degrees C (86.0 degrees F).

A serious case under investigation of corruption involving a former security chief from the Chinese Communist Party isn't attributable to a problem of communism but to one of the problems of the system of social organization of modern China that may be categorized as socialism or something else. Probably it will turn out better somehow.
Communism is more idealistic than socialism, but the problem of communism is much more serious than that of socialism. My preference is moderate capitalism, as written frequently.
